Sena Hyeleth
Hello! I'm a queer, disabled freelance illustrator and I specialize in character art and character design. I'm self-taught and have been drawing for around 20 years, over half of which I've been pursuing art as a professional career. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure working with a variety of clients from different fandoms, gaining experience illustrating a diverse pool of characters.
I’m a nonbinary lesbian and my preferred pronouns are They/Them or, occasionally, She/Her. My identity plays a great role in my creative work as I’m striving to create an inclusive and supportive community for artists and art enthusiasts alike. Furthermore, I believe that it is impossible to separate your values from your craft, so I refuse to work or interact with individuals that uphold hateful and discriminatory beliefs.
The face behind the art.
Outside of work I also go by Persephone or Phen. I’m a 30 year old quadrilingual language enthusiast from Germany, with an incomplete tertiary education in Archaeology. I fled my country after my abusive father threatened my life, and am now trying to rebuild it piece by piece, hoping to reach and inspire people through my work.
I’m autistic and have ADHD, which makes keeping healthy work hours challenging, but In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, playing DnD and video games, such as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars: The Old Republic and The Elder Scrolls Online.
I’m captivated by Greek mythology, have a small collection of fossils and crystals, and love decorating my space with different plants and art.
As of recent, I’m also trying myself at creating stained glass art, which has been really fun so far, but the Wizard’s curse, also known as ADHD, makes me highly susceptible to “shiny object hunting” or “hobby collecting”, and other novelty-seeking behaviours, so I have to be really careful to not get carried away.
